Description of the project/team
We are looking for a strong team to lead the End to End Monitoring project. E2E monitoring will establish a new organization for central montoring services and operational intelligence influenced by site reliability engineering principles. From a technical perspective a central data lake will be established based on a cloud-based splunk platform enabling increased visualization, automation and predictive capabilities.
The objectives of the project is to provide ready-to-go monitoring services with a high degree of automated self-service capabilities to new projects and the engineering community within the H&M group, to implement end-to-end business monitoring for key processes fully focused on business KPIs rather than individual technical components, improve incident management capabilities by moving towards service-level objectives and indicators rather than individual component monitoring, and, improve security monitoring and forensics capabilities.
The operating model stream (sub project) will establish a new central monitoring center of excellence including definition of management controls, teams and competences with responsibilities for organizational adoption, monitoring tooling and platform engineering. All according to agile principles and SAFe.
Work tasks
- Subject matter expert within the operating model stream (sub project)
- Assist in defining the operating model for the new central monitoring organization including relation to consuming business units and engineering teams
- Produce definitions of teams, processes, competences and responsibilities
- Assist in defining priorities and a step-wise approach for moving towards the target operating model
